probably fine that media is increasingly just people with established careers bringing their friends onto their underfunded reader-supported projects. we don't need to train new talent, there are so many people who want to do the work and the substack combat pits will weed out the weak

I dropped a poster tube in the #sdcc exhibit hall trying to get a signature. The poster inside has 2 dozen autographs collected at events in multiple states and countries. The tube has a name and address on it, it’s easy to id; but I’m devastated, I feel like such an idiot. #sdcclostandfound
