My comment was to a macro issue of the definition of freedom

And of course what makes this all the more insidious is Tim Houston gave Carla Balsor the nomination for the Governor General's Coronation medal so here she's been abusing elders on a regular basis since she's been employed there by her friend Karen and she gets an award? This drug dealer?

It certainly goes to how she tolerated a lot of Carla's illegal behaviour

So her brother was the past board chair and she's the current board chair.. apparently this keeps going on and it shouldn't be allowed.. this is a conflict of interest position she can sit on the board but should not be allowed to be the chair of the board
She's making decisions without Board

And the two previous EDs were blamed for a lot of stuff... And there were rumours of missing money.... Just rumours though but Karen wouldn't want somebody like me around

Because I am about human rights and ethics and integrity everything she isn't
She had an issues, she could look me in the eyes

So while the Human Rights Commission does not process files against individuals she in a sense is the center and she has acted inappropriately and illegally for quite some time never mind her board doesn't function like a proper board and that's because she won't relinquish control

As soon as I said I wanted to join the board as soon as there was a position available I wanted to apply for it and as soon as I was going to be part of the planning committee and that I was reporting the abuse and how organized the abuse was and who benefited from the abuse

It wouldn't surprise me- the unethics that she does is disturbing and the fact that nobody has called her out .. Seniors Department like Joint Stocks etc

Not only was I subjected to disturbing levels of abuse mentally and verbally public humiliation in front of others I witnessed it to done to other people including the calling of names and the misappropriation of donations all went into documents to the new ED then I became Public Enemy Number One

People fear coming forward because they live in the building that's connected to the centre and they know Karen and the abuser Carla are retaliatory and cover up the abuse that's been reported in the past ...so they are afraid they'll also lose their housing or be banned if they come forward

There's also misappropriation of donations that are being weaponized .. she gives certain board members and staff members lots of donations to pay for their silence/ loyalty and her friends and she deliberately withholds from seniors she doesn't like and calls them vile names.. shocking

I sent in a total of nine reports including my own abuse there and I said I want the board signing off on them that they received each one per date and that they are aware of all the abuse and are moving forward

And they push me out the door even faster

The daughter of the originator is cancer

The main abuser Carla Balsor used to own the rodeo but her husband got murdered... Lucrative drug dealing and all that

But Carla has been telling people her husband committed suicide so no more questions are asked

All kinds of Slim shady going on at the #DartmouthSeniorServiceCentre

What's very disturbing is this abuse when on daily and in front of everybody for a long time

And people were too afraid to come forward they feared retaliation they feared being banned and of course where I got banned I sent a message to others that if you come forward you will be banned too

So they were going to do whatever they needed to do to get me out the door as if that stopped anything but they're fully aware there's a human rights complaint filed and the way they violated my rights numerous ways was degrading and devaluing and traumatizing

And the department who looks after seniors got in touch with me but what disturbs me is they've been blindly giving them grants where they don't even function as a legal board Karen surrounds herself with friends and yessers
I said I wanted to join the board and that pushed me out the door faster

So they've been reported to all the relevant departments no it was bad timing on my part about Christmas breaks and New Year's breaks joint stocks got back to me and said they're not registered here in Nova Scotia because they're Federal and I said well your other staff member said they were

It got pretty bad there they tried all these dirty tactics all of them unconstitutional divorcement out the door... Another victim of abuse for years came forward just the other day

And they fabricated that I escalated to ban me because they couldn't get rid of me any other way

Anne.... Karen uses the same last name as her brother Richard so I don't know her married name

But it sounds like the way you said that that you know the family dynamic?

If there's another daughter I don't know about it I know she has a brother named Richard

But it definitely would explain why she feels so comfortable acting illegally and unconstitutionally and is very comfortable with abusers who also commit crimes
