So exciting! One of my favourites, thankyou!
So exciting! One of my favourites, thankyou!
We are so excited to reveal our special edition set of The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells in association with Tor Books ๐ค๐
Thankyou! Both for the reply and for signing the books!
So exciting, I'd love to pre order but really want a signed copy, are all the hardcovers signed?
This sounds really interesting!
So I should add this to my TBR then? Haven't read any Alastair Reynolds yet.
This is a stunning edition of Jade War by Fonda Lee. Been a few months since reading Jade City, going back feels like slipping on a comfortable pair of pants. Fonda Lee's prose is beautiful to read, it's incredible the way the writing makes you empathise with all the characters.

We are excited to reveal that the next title featured on our Sci-Fi sub will be The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin! ๐โ๏ธ
It's a dream come true to get to feature such a groundbreaking classic on the sub! ๐
Read this earlier this year and loved it, so excited by this pick!!
Just got this amazing edition of When The Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi from The Broken Binding, stunning! (even if the international postage to Aus is eventually going to send me broke) Look forward to reading it. ๐ช๐๐ #fantasyfaction
Be prepared for confusion ๐ I love it. I appreciate the recommendation, will add it to my TBR. I feel like I've made a mistake though, I've started Red Rising, the Expanse and Hyperion series this year and there is no way I'm getting through them all anytime soon.
Thanks, I don't think I fully realised just how they all link together. Does Fall of Hyperion pick up where this one ends?
Yes!! Terrible at updating ๐คฆI really enjoyed it, each story had its own feel and definitely liked some more than others but each part still added to the story in a meaningful way.
I may have bought a special edition of it before I read it in the assumption I would like it, yay for me that I do and I think it's going to become a favourite
More going on! My only problem is I can't read any faster!
Thanks I will!
Yes! I love this style of book
OK, I'm still only on the first story but I am hooked! ๐ช๐๐
A brilliant series!
Book cover of the Science Fiction Masterworks edition of Hyperion by author Dan Simmons. A white background with a yellow spike helmet.
Next world to explore:
Hyperion by Dan Simmons. Tandem read between audio and physical book. Really looking forward to this, has been on the TBR for a while (hasn't everything!) What should I be prepared for?

decisions of how the characters and the world came to be. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys the writing of Kate Elliott or the Spiritwalker world.

Late update:
The Spiritwalker Trilogy is one of my favourite fantasy reads. This collection of short stories and essays continues to highlight why I enjoyed the trilogy so much. Revisiting with familiar characters and also some great insights into the writing process and..

My Neighbour Totoro was the first movie Mr 6 ever actually stopped to watch the entire movie when he was about 3. Love ghibli.
Turns out it was already on there ๐ซฃ
This sounds really interesting, on the TBR it goes
You had me at space heist. On the TBR it goes.
Cover Of Fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury, title and author overlayed on a Fire created by flames of red, orange and yellow.
Finally read Fahrenheit 451, opted for the audiobook narrated by Tim Robbins. Excellent narration, worth a listen. This and 1984 are now my two favourite dystopian fiction novels. The themes, metaphors and prose created a rich and symbolic storyline.

So excited for this one. The Spiritwalker Trilogy is one of my favourites. This new book is a collection of short stories and essays set in the world beginning and during the original trilogy. This edition has some stunningly beautiful artwork in it as well.

3/Better if they were really important to have tied it into the story directly. I really wanted to like this more than I did, rating 2.5/5.
2/Walt however did not get as much love, I did not connect at all, 90% of the book I wasn't sure of the purpose of the character. I also found the narrators interruptions incredibly irritating, for me they did not add anything to the story and interrupted the flow.
