Today I was ironing some old thrifted sheets when the iron awoke an old perfume in them that smelled so much like childhood in my nana’s house. So many good memories. I miss her very much. She would probably be very happy I’m still sewing and recycling just like she did. 🪡🧵💐
I see a lot of negative memes about January lasting forever. I, for one, wish it would last longer! This year doesn’t need to move any faster.
I need more time to breathe. To sew. To read. To sleep. To savor what’s here before life sweeps everything forward in a mad whirlwind out of my grasp.
I am pretty familiar with the dresses in the Met, but this one is new-to-me & has a cool secret: That “lace” is a pattern woven into the fabric!

I loved this Jacobean Waistcoat I made as a pattern test for Margo’s Patterns. It was so comfy and the range of motion on the wide-sleeve option was top notch!
