For my secret (very, very belated) birthday event this year showed roughly 35 people triple bill of A TRIP TO THE MOON (1902), HAREDEVIL HARE (1948) and REAL GENIUS (1985). Such fun. Having several teens oooh and ahhh over a silent film was pretty neat. They had terrific questions after, too. Yay!
May have shed a tear or two tonight with #TheLastDriveIn. Having Joe Bob back - warts & all - has truly meant so much to me. Discovering him as a kid was revelatory. Having him return just as much so. Know it’s not goodbye, still feels like it. I’ll miss these Fridays more than I can say. #MutantFam
Well, much (not all, of course) of it appears to be coming from a certain gender, so I’m not entirely shocked. Also, it’s so in your face, so forcefully UNsubtle with its themes, I do get how some are rubbed the wrong way by it.

It goes without saying that #MessiahOfEvil should be right up my alley, but even on rewatch I still find it a pretentious - if admittedly hypnotic - slog. The Radiance Blu-ray set is phenomenal, though. So, if you are a fan, make sure and pick that up.

Easily Pixar’s best movie since TURNING RED, the delightfully anarchic #Hoppers is also one of the studio’s funniest flights of irreverent fancy that they’ve ever released. Loved. ❤️

I get that it won’t work for everyone (and that some may even despise it), but it’s the type of big, bold swing we need more of. My hope is that audiences challenge themselves and give it a chance. I think it’s magnificent.
