My debut novel (I’ve just started sending it to agents) is a contemporary (loose) adaptation of MANSFIELD PARK. It’s been fun making peace with what I love about Fanny Price (she’s strong, stubborn, and thinks deeply) versus her limitations (a sheltered teenager in love with her cousin).

My favorite part about this site is clicking over and enthusiastically reading post after post about mushrooms before realizing I’m on “Fungi Friends.” I always think jeez this is so great, everyone is posting about mushrooms today…
