In a healthy democracy, there would bipartisan Articles of Impeachment on the floor of the House by tonight
But we are neither a healthy democracy nor, I would argue—given the end of our separation of powers and our rule of law—a democracy at all anymore
It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.
The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.
Corporate media doesn’t understand Trump at all.
Why did Trump choose Maduro’s VP to be his proxy in Venezuela over Machado—the champion of the people?
Because Maduro’s VP has already shown she’s willing to be a proxy for a dictator.

those of us who are going through something should be uplifted by those who have the energy, empowerment, and fire to do something.
This feeling of numbness may have to be for many of us, but not for some of us because that's the only way we will survive. But that also means that we as a community don't judge one another; instead,
My rage is wrapped up in machetes and the deepness of nature because that is where revolution is born.
I'm also reminded of the song "Numb" by Chester Bennington's LinkinPark; even in acknowledging an absence of feeling, there was still rage
I uplift the artistic intellectual talent of my Dark Knight,
that is resistance.
I uplift the creative, fluid talent of my daughter,
that is resistance.

Like many of you, I am trying to thrive in this hostile, toxic environment.

This is a significant opportunity for her, but it also comes with significant expenses. The university does not provide scholarships or grants for students to purchase the materials they need for a successful runway showing.
As many of you know, our daughter is a fashion and textile design major at Buffalo State University, and this is her last semester. She is preparing to participate in the show runway, the gala event where senior designers display original works.
It's Black History Month, day one, and what better way to give back to the community than by lifting the next generation trying to achieve their goals and dreams? Especially in this socio-political environment, uplifting those in our community with these gifts is vital.
