We’re all going to leave this place behind, eventually. And there are a lot of things we can get into before we do. Mostly, I hope that I leave this place better. More together. More built up. More complete. Cause what we leave behind is ultimately about us. Not just me.
I hope that you can find the peace and confidence to be fully yourself.
But also, I hope you can find the security and the space to peel back the layers to find who you are, fully yourself.

We carry all of our pasts with us
Make the thing that moves you. If it moves you, it’ll move others too.
It’s easy to think we got it all right or that we know it all, because that’s safe. It’s harder to accept that maybe we don’t have it all together and that we may have made mistakes. But that’s where the healing and growth happen. Owning what we haven’t gotten right leads to living life better.
There are forces in this world that want you to be colder and harder and tougher.
But what we really need is more gentleness, more kindness, more caring, and more tenderness.
That’s how we fight.
Be true to who you are. Do what you’ve got to do. Trust yourself. Be confident.
And also, be ready to grow and be willing to change. This is not all of it. There is better yet to be made and done.
Dear my own mind, no, not everybody is mad at you and not everybody hates you and not everybody thinks you don’t belong. In fact, probably basically nobody feels that way. You’ve got your people. And they are for you.
I think one of my big problems with AI (along with the ethical, environmental, and economic implications) is that it is just dishonest. It lies as content. And it lies in production. It’s deceptive in that people want to use it to seem like they’ve put in the work. But they haven’t.

Loving someone means loving all of them. It doesn’t mean not helping them become the best version of themselves (we all have ways we can heal and grow). But it does mean we have space and accept them, and ourselves, as we are.

Nobody really knows what happens next. People can make some really good guesses, but none of it is written in stone. It is not certain. It is still changeable. You can still have an impact on what this world looks like, right where you are.
If all we ever do is respond, we’ve given up our agency.
We choose where our love goes. And we choose whether to believe it is a waste or not.
But no love given is wasted.
