Adolph produced with far more than just the bat. He was outstanding defensively (check out this diving snag!)
Ross mashed 16 home runs for us (most on the team) and collected 57 RBIs (tied for first on the Monarchs).
He got started early, hitting our first homer of the season against Sioux City in the season's opening weekend.
Ross was one of our most dependable players in 2024, playing in a team-best 95 of the club's 99 games.
That includes this walk-off win!

The 25-year-old is known for his fastball velocity and his ability to rack up strikeouts -- almost 10 per nine innings in two years as a pro.
As for Mendez, he's originally from Cuba and made his pro debut with the Yankees just a couple of years ago.
But his best season just might have been 2023, where he was one of the top relievers in the American Association.
He had a 2.17 ERA and 20 saves for Sioux City, helping his team to the league semifinals. (They could have gone further if they didn't run into us!)
Rackoski signed with the Blue Jays as a free agent out of college and made it to Triple-A in the Blue Jays' system with Buffalo in 2022. He owns a 4.34 ERA and 9.3 K/9 across four minor-league seasons.
Let's start with Rackoski, who was at KU for four years and began 2017 as their Friday night starter.

Ortiz, a corner outfielder and first baseman, is the eighth player and seventh hitter to sign with us for 2025. Three of those players are returners: Ortiz, shortstop Josh Bissonette, and closer Jeff Hakanson.
His advanced stats are even more impressive. Ortiz's average exit velo was the best on our roster at the close of 2024: over 90 miles per hour.
And as you can see, he can hit it MUCH harder than that!
We'll put it simply. Ortiz can MASH the ball. He hit .342 with a .935 OPS last season, despite joining the team late in the year.
He immediately became a mainstay of the lineup, hitting four home runs and driving in 12 over just 21 games.
