My favorite reddit comment about this pattern: "oh look, a brick cozy".
Along with the total shutdown on March 15th (more to come about that) do this as well:
Correct. This is a President of the United States declaring himself a dictator.
And instead of Americans understanding that weβre now under imminent threat of martial law and tyranny, weβll get a month of think pieces about what the President of the United States meant by his UNAMBIGUOUS statement.
An airport selfie of a woman's torso as she models a sweater in progress. The sweater has an oatmeal color as the background/main color and a yoke knit in a motif in a contrasting color - bright fading yarn, which starts green, through purple, to deep raspberry. The motif looks like a fern or feather, starting narrower near the neckline and widening in the middle before narrowing again towards the tip. The sleeve stitches are held on cables with stoppers as the torso is the section being worked now; there are about 8 inches of progress below the end of the yoke/motif section.
Made some knitting progress on my tropical vacation! π§Άπ΄π
*Jennifer Steinglass is the designer's name, sorry for the typo!
A photo of a woman's upper torso as she tries on the top yoke portion of a sweater that she is in the process of knitting. The stitches are held on a cable. The sweater is two colors, the main/background color is a light oatmeal color and the pattern is knitted in a contrasting color that fades gradually from green to indigo to raspberry to purple. The motif of the contrasting color looks like ferns or feathers sweeping gracefully down from the neckline towards the right. The knitted fabric drapes over the shoulders and chest, ending just under the sternum where it's held in place to ensure the pattern is visible.
I'm all done knitting the yoke and short row shaping on the back of my Avena sweater. (pattern by Jennifer Steinglas) Next up: sleeve separation! #blueskyisforknitters π§Ά
Many are asking: βWhat can I doΒ now?β
Hereβs a revised and expanded list of actions you can take, in rough order of importance. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/more-on-what-you-can-do
A bill that would make it illegal in Colorado to make, sell or buy guns that can accept detachable ammunition magazines cleared its first legislative hurdle late Tuesday after some eight hours of public testimony.

A yoke style sweater in the process of being knit, on a long circular knitting needle. The sweater is made with an oatmeal color beige as the background or main color, and the contrast color is a gradient yarn that fades from dark teal through blue, purple, and a deep raspberry color. The motif created by the contrast color is something like a feather, with each "feather" sweeping from the neckline down and to the right.
I missed #wipwednesday! #blueskyisforknitters
Mac, a dog who's mostly white with small spots and some larger black markings on his face and back, stares up at the camera while lying on the floor with his front legs outstretched. The rug underneath him is a faded blue and rust bohemian floral print, and to his left side are a couple of grey dog beds.
This is my handsome little gentleman, Mac!
