But here's my thesis, lots of that "writing" really doesn't need to exist and the desire or need to outsource it to something that does not have the capacity to communicate with intention is a good sign that it didn't need to exist in the first place. Oh, I have tremendous respect and admiration for him. He’s been an incredible influence. I’m a much more serious scholar thanks to his mentoring and guidance, but I’m also way more freespirited and goofy—and frankly, happier—than I would be if I had never met him.

Describing Bill C-27 as a "technical term that no one else but us will maybe get" is a hell of a good way to trivialize the role of law in society. Yea sure, laws are just technicalities that no one cares about.
