That's true. Though the Nazis stayed fairly well down. Standing up to aggression is important. The futility of it, well, most everything is futile in the long run. As for Iran being "a perceived monstrous adversary," it is an abso-fucking-lutely monstrous adversary. Don't drink the Kool-Aid here.
I'd never say any war was "a good thing." But it's happening, and how one reacts to it depends on what you thought of the Oct. 7 attacks, which Iran instigated, and caused, what, 80,000 deaths so far? To the degree the war prevents Iran from doing that kind of shit in the future, it's not w/o value.
Jews are sometimes accused of dual loyalty regarding Israel. But anyone softening on Trump because of the ass-whupping being delivered to Iran is an idiot. He's still a liar, bully, fraud and traitor who, in his daily thrashings, occasionally does a good thing. He got rid of the penny too. Bravo.

Stopped by the annual pancake breakfast at the Presbyterian church.
I heard robins calling this morning.

So today I spoke with Father Michael Pfleger, Mr. T., Senator Dick Durbin, Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton and former mayor Lori Lightfoot. Quite the smorgasbord.
