Still sick as a dog, but actual dog chose me for 3 whole minutes of puppy snuggles until I coughed and he ran away, then came back and squeezed into the space between spouse and the arm of the couch, as far away from me as possible.

Dog. Dog of my heart. Why.

Very hard to engage with various coping strategies given the state of the country when I am sick as a dog fighting off a cold. Related: my actual dog is afraid of my coughing, so I can't even get puppy snuggles. (He's not scared of spouse's coughing though. He got ALL the snuggles when he was sick.)

In other news, this time happy dog news, when we adopted Luca almost a year ago, he was 13 whole pounds and super under weight. At his checkup this week he came in at 16.3lbs and the vet says he's perfect now. What a rough start he must have had before rescue!

Okay some folks are figuring out that it's actually probably because I followed Jill and Joe Biden's accounts, which were actually associated with the office rather than the people themselves and their accounts got switched over to Trump when the thing happened. Relieved by this explanation.

Wow. I just opened FB and there was a giant post from Trump front and center. I clicked the "..." to hide or block it thinking it was just the annoying algorithm. And then I saw "Unfollow..." which means FB just added me as a FOLLOWER of Trump's FB account. Anyone else?

Pretty sure the original "banana for scale" thing has been a meme for like a decade+. I know Dull Men's Club has existed since the 80s so I would guess they adopted the meme the same way we all did, but with their own spin. What I want to know is why they always include shoe sizes, lol.

Apparently "raccoon" in the wrong tone of voice sounds too much like "soon", which is a key component to many well known phrases such as "Dad home soon".

Sorry buddy, Dad's not coming home for a little while longer.

Now accepting suggestions for what to rename his raccoon toy to!

Oops. I told Luca "you have a raccoon!" (he was chewing his raccoon toy) in apparently the wrong tone of voice because he jumped up and started staring excitedly at the door, then ran towards it barking with excitement.

Having a bit of a rough day. It's days like this I am so thankful for my dog. I came home from [redacted] and he did a Big Concern about me being sad and gave me kisses all over my face. Good pup. Love my dog.

Can we all agree that regardless of leash laws (btw off-leash IS illegal here!), people should keep control of their dogs at all times? That off-leash dog had NO BUSINESS approaching, let alone SNATCHING MY ENTIRE DOG in his actual whole mouth! (Luca seems okay thankfully) #dogsafety #controlyourdog
