UPDATE: This summer, organizers said more than 5 million people participated in No Kings protests against President Trump. Organizers say they expect an even bigger turnout this time around.
By noon Saturday, protests were underway in Cary, Clayton, Raleigh, Pittsboro and elsewhere, decrying Trump administration policies and tactics.

The federal government is moving to take over the California National Guard and deploy 2,000 soldiers.
That move is purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions.
