Our service was trash for years. Thankfully it doesn’t impact us negatively beyond annoyance, but we found packages were always given priority and attention, first class mail came… when it came. Might be a week between deliveries.
It suddenly started coming regularly within the last year.
I think it’s perfectly reasonable to say “hey maybe you should not do things in more regressive states and/or implicitly support an event that keeps getting skeevier" in response to promoting said event. But the level of outright nasty I’ve seen in responses to this are unhinged.
Shame the guy is leaving, he seems like he belongs there. He’s got the debasing himself in the court down pat.

I was never poor in the lacking a last-resort bit of family to retreat to, but I was close enough that I felt that line in my bones.

I mean that’s sort of been their thing in decrying “cancel culture” too, right? It was fine that the shop clerk could get fired because their boss saw them at a protest they disagreed with, or whisper networks about what actresses not to hire because they wouldn’t take to the casting couch.
