@anniemleonard.bsky.social I promised you a copy. If you provide me with a preferred (work) address, I’ll send it out. ✊🏼DM or email pls.
'“You and I will be gone,” the U.S. official said, also referring to this reporter, “and Trump, too, but this attack on Iran is going to have a super long half-life. Generations long.”'
Very much appreciate this generous blurb by a thinker I admire, David McNally. ✊🏼
Very kind of you. Second half pushes hard against the forces of dystopia — and for a better, more just future. ✊🏼
It’s a call to move toward an activism grounded in a collectivist politics. I call it left populism and the orientation “utopic realism.” ✊🏼. Ie pursuing the best possible world based on freedom for the “99%”. Thx for asking. 😊
New book March 2026! Called “an urgent and important book,” I hope to reach non-experts worried about climate and social justice today. ✊🏼 #climatechange
Arresting journalists.
Fatally shooting protestors.
Turning the military on citizens.
Attempting to rig elections.
Toying with the idea of declaring martial law.
If this were happening in another country, what would you call it?
The US must be kicked out of the Olympics.
without meaning the slightest bit of disrespect to the No Kings protests, the sentiment on the ground here is less No Kings 2025 and more Leipzig 1989
The people of Minneapolis have come out in force to protest—and TNR was there to witness. trib.al/I4rlxUx
"I’ve photographed under dictators, societies on the cusp of breakup, and outright invasion ... We are not there yet, but when rhetoric is backed by armed force, that’s how escalation begins."
Evil guy is universally panned. Where were they every other day?? The normalization of his moral and intellectual incapacities is awful to behold.
For more than a century, oil companies have sunk wells in this desert looking for liquid gold, leaving countless scars behind. Dunlap showed me wells ensconced by rusted-red pipes and decrepit pumpjacks strewn about the desert. These thousands of forgotten wells are not just inert fossils of economic history. Many emit methane—a greenhouse gas that's nearly 30 times more potent than carbon dioxide -and leach chemicals, including benzene, a human carcinogen. Recently, another problem has emerged: Old, dormant wells have begun mysteriously leaking-oozing brine onto the land-and shooting geysers of toxic water into the sky.
Former oil and gas workers in Texas are now fighting to make the industry plug old empty wells, which are exhaling methane and vomiting toxic water (from fracking miles away) all over the state.

Heroic figure in climate studies.
Agreed. Why it is we think being an exceptional thief (billionaire) is qualification enough to spout on about everything is beyond me.
Dems never learn. Why not ask Al Gore to be her running mate?
'in 2019, Carney described climate change as “the world’s greatest existential threat.”'
How can you know this and then approve more fossil fuel expansion?!?
What kinds of person does that?
Har.

"If orange rivers are the first sign, what comes next could redefine the planet’s climate system, and faster than anyone imagined. What began as an aesthetic anomaly has become a planetary alarm..."

Beautiful.
He is the terrorist who should be arrested. All the trumpsters are terrorists. Question is: Will Americans strike en masse for their freedoms before they have none? Tick tock.
Amplified? As a Cnd I’m already plenty horrified — and amazed there hasn’t been either a revolution or a general strike. Tick tock, folks.
Yep.
