On this day in 1969, Concorde made its maiden flight. Aircraft technology came a long way in 50 years, from when our Avro 504K was training RFC pilots. It had a top speed of around 95mph - Concorde flew at 1,350mph. Visit us any Friday, Saturday, Sunday to learn more about the early days of flight!

My 2nd ever new Japanese train purchase was the Tomix Series 287 Panda Kuroshio Smile Adventure Train seen here running for the first time on Tsuru no Michi after an attempted repair, but the motor is too poorly so I have ordered a replacement one. I ran it today with a Kato model of the same class
