Retention can be helped with frequent communication, listening to team members’ challenges, ideas, and interests, providing a safe space for feedback, and acting on takeaways. Additionally, providing defined career paths including goals for growth and reward is beneficial. #AVinTheAM

I believe more manufacturers are understanding the value of having an open and published API.

What many need to still learn is that the API is only the first step in providing a true integration solution. Proven control system modules/drivers/plugins ensure compatibility. #AVinTheAM #AVTweeps

Additionally, aside from adopting universal play-and-play protocols, the need for setup or having a custom driver profile providing communication between devices would be required.

Universal protocols have been discussed but not implemented for decades. It’s harder than it seems. #AVinTheAM

The term open API is commonly misunderstood. I believe it simply means publishing command and communication details to interface with a device rather than keeping this information private.

We are seeing more products providing direct control capability however functionality is limited #AVinTheAM
