How magical to be part of this tradition, and thank god it keeps companies financially afloat year after year.
For all the dancers working themselves to the bone this season, who feel unsure about the future and what this all about, I promise it doesn’t end when you’re not on the stage anymore, or when dance ebbs and flows in your life. The friendships and sense of wonder and community will last a lifetime.
