Lovely St Davids day Daffs yesterday at Bromsberrow heath,Are beutiful native wild daffodils Narcissus Pseudonarcissus with there bright yellow petals and darker trumpets π
An early 7 am vist yesterday to the Tower mustard site at Bromsberrow heath me Brian Laney and Tim Rich have been keeping habitat open with seasonally opening up bare soil areas the last few years ,various rossettes showing nicely,always good to natter along to each other as we work.
I discovered this Seriously strong Population of Scleropodium tourettii a few years back ,previously to this colony it was only known in Gloucestershire at Symonds yat,it was nice to cast an eye over it again yesterday on the red sandstone exposures above Bromsberrow @bbsbryology.bsky.social
Reboulia hemispherica (Hemisphaeric Liverwort) on the Keuper red sandstone outcrops in-between Bromsberrow and Chasend hill yesterday, I found this exceedingly strong Colony of this lovely thallus Liverwort a few years back whilst searching for Tortula Vahiliana @bbsbryology.bsky.social

A Sunday trip over to Redmarley D abitΓ΄t today give the arable a search, HH Knights Riccia nigra find in 1912 was on my mind ,a species ling shot but worth a mooch , lots of Sphaerocarpos (Balloonwort) always nice to see @bbsbryology.bsky.social

A nice patch of Protobryum bryoides growing on one of the thousands of yellow meadow ant hills at Berkley deer park this winter ,two 7 hour mondays searching hundreds of these ant hills for Rodobryum roseum, no sighn but only half the site searched so it could show . @bbsbryology.bsky.social

Finally caught up with a liverwort i have put a fair bit of time in for,Fossombronia fimbriata on the Preseli hills yesterday, on the edge of a stream were a track used frequently by livestock crosses , a classic habitat for it ,second day of a Sixteen day mossing sesh @bbsbryology.bsky.social
