Most of the time when I'm spending Threat as a GM, I'm spending thread to introduce persistent aspects on the scene that may make things more difficult if its relevant to the roll, like having a power conduit burn out or having an ion storm roll into the uppper atmosphere.
Yeah, spending Momentum should be for buying extra dice, or to ask extra questions when you've already rolled successfully on a roll to gather information. You can choose to get extra dice by giving the GM threat, or the GM gets threat when they roll more successes than they need.
That's more or less the next town over from me. I remember hearing lots of Mabel's stories.
This is going to be so cool!
I haven't. I think its one of those things where I have it often enough to be mildly annoyed but not often enough to look for a solution.
The only downside to having chips and queso is that you have to heat the quaso up to an almost gaseous state so it sakes liquid long enough to eat all of the chips I want to eat.
Mattel was really great about getting me a refund for my damaged Mantenna. They were going to send me a new one, but they didn't have him in stock. Once they okayed the refund, I went ahead and glued Mantenna's leg and foot back on. He's not as flexible now, but I can still put him in a display.
Yeah, these are all the 7 inch Masterverse figures, so they're articulated more like Marvel Legends figures.
Masters of the Universe Mastervers figures inside a purple fortress diarama cardboard backdrop. He-Man and Battle Cat are climbing up a ledge, Roboto and Teela are aiming weapons at Beast Man and Trap Jaw, Fisto is ready to punch Spikor, and two Skelcons are guarding a cell from which Mekaneck's head and neck are protruding.
On a raised platform, Skeletor sits on a throne inside a purple cardboard fortress diarama. Next to him Evil-Lyn aims her hand at He-Man and Battle Cat, who are climbing up a rise from the other section of the fortress. Tri-Klops is coming through a door, being met with force by Man-at-Arms.

The latest cubicle display is live. I thought I'd do an homage to the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie this time around. Everyone is from the trailer (even if you had to squint to see some of them).

Back in the 3.5 days, we had a halfling druid in our party named Mern. Whenever Mern would try to navigate small spaces or look for a hiding place, Mern would call it a Mern Hole. The rest of us started calling halfling sized spaces Mern Holes. Its been 20 and that's still something I remember.
Okay, "characters from four IPs that I will disappoint when l show up for the date," here goes:
1. I agree with Dracula, Ororo
2. Rosie Cotton
3. Zatanna
4. Dr. Beverly Crusher
I love that the Horde managed to out weirdo Skeletor's henchmen.
A Mantenna Masterverse action figure, a four legged creature with a humanoid upper torso, a toothy maw, and giant eyes. One leg is broken off at the knee, and one foot is broken off at the ankle.

Poor Mantenna didn't didn't survive his trip through retail channels. His foot was lose in the box when I opened it, and his leg sheared off when I pulled him out of the plastic tray. Poor guy. If only Modulok had trained him how to properly remove limbs.
An action fgure of the Masters of the Universe character Mekaneck, in a blue bodysuit with red chest armor. He has a mace and shield, and his head is on a long, flexible neck extension high above his body.
@flyingfox369.bsky.social I picked up a new Mekaneck figure, and I love how much neck extension they pack him with.
Just Constantly Doing the WorstΒ Thing
This is why, whenever I try to do something, to write something, to comment on something, since last January, I can't. Because the people who are the least affected by the evil of this administration and the modern conservative fascist movement can still makeβ¦
I also liked the options it gave me when we had a plot during the Dominion War, where the PCs had to decide to give a group of Reman troops they rescued from a damaged Romulan ship asylum. The betazoid could tell them when to move around the ship as they hid them from their Romulan allies.
I almost appreciate that the game doesn't get too granular on how to adjudicate the ability. It did mean that the opening pre-Dominion War story arc where the ship's captain was replaced by a Changeling shifted from finding out to proving pretty quickly.
We had a betazoid first officer that really made for some interesting storytelling. A lot of times I treated it as narrative position for them to make checks for information with the same "ask a question for each point of momentum spent" as you would get with sensors, etc.
Now I'm thinking of this whole line of Aratech eBikes, with scout troopers pedalling really fast to save power requirements when the budget gets tight.
The Mutants & Masterminds 4e Kickstarter had a fantastic launch yesterday: fully funded and past its first stretch goal and well on its way to the second. The value of backing will just go up from here! I have my eye on the $100K goal and the Earth-Prime Gazetteer π
Okay, let's push this over the 100,000 so we get that Earth-Prime Gazetteer. I need that setting material!

I just realized that social media for me now is "I come out of my hole and if I see the shadow of facism, I have six more weeks of inability to work on creative things."
Its almost like if an administration is arguing supreme executive authority, one of the ways you could oppose authoritarianism is by doing everything you can to keep them from appointing heads of agencies that are loyal to your authoritarian president.
But that ship sailed a year ago in most cases.
I'm sure that the continued escalation of blatant fascism inherit in arresting reporters for reporting on the facist actions of the administration will surely outrate a true opposition party's leaders to take definitive action.
Yeah, I know, I'm not holding my breath.
I know it still goes on, but I think things have stratified so much that I'm much less likely to casually see pro-Empire fan posts now.
I remember the late 90s, early 2000s wave of "The Empire Did Nothing Wrong" posts. I even remember all the way up to Battlefront II from EA, seeing people complain that Iden Versio's story was that she was going to defect from the Empire. Yes, my dude, she's a Star Wars protagonist.
I love Ready or Not and You're Next, and its Zazie Beetz, so I'm all in for this. That said, unless there are a lot more twists and turns, they really just laid out the plot in this trailer.
