"Zazwyczaj zwalniają w pierwszej kolejności szeregowców, ewentualnie podoficerów, ale po to, żeby za chwilę zatrudnić nowych, najczęściej na gorszych warunkach niż poprzedników. Tak mielą młyny kapitalizmu".

ALT: Bar chart comparing official statistics of causes of death to media coverage. Heart disease and cancer have the highest death statistics but lower media coverage. In contrast, terrorism and homicide receive disproportionately high media attention despite lower death statistics. An illustration shows a person with a television for a head, symbolizing media influence. Text notes the disparity in news coverage frequency reflecting actual death causes. I really appreciate that every time I open the AppStore, the homepage highlights some hidden gem, like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Temu, or Fortnite. Curating greatness - that's what I learned to expect from Mr Apple.

World map using a Mercator projection, but with the true relative sizes of countries overlaid in a darker shade. This illustrates how the standard Mercator projection distorts the size of landmasses, particularly those further from the equator, by showing the actual size differences. For example, Canada and Russia appear much smaller in their true relative size compared to their depiction in a standard Mercator projection.
Yet another reason to tut at the Mercator map projection

A digital poster in the style of a World War II propaganda piece. Isolaed on a yellow background, a normal, squarish, 20-something guy with glasses is sitting working on a laptop. A ghostly figure of Hitler has his arm around the guy and is grinning and shaking a fist triumphantly looking at the laptop screen. On the lid of the laptop where an apple might otherwise be is an openAI logo, bright green, and dripping green ooze down the lid. Text on the poster, in combinations of sans-serif type and brush script reads: Using Generative AI? You’re prompting with Hitler! GenAI is a Fascist Project! Try using your brain instead Don’t surrender your creativity to the tech billionaire’s control

I'm seeing a social media trend where people are sneaking pics of men reading books in public and making fun of them as "performative males"
And while I love a good dunk, I don't think you guys want men to be reading even less than they are now. Just saying

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

I will just say it again for those in the back:
Ai is a knowledge killer and an epistemic suicide machine, it is a digital cage meant to silo human creativity and learning. A digital back hole that destroys your cognitive development and ultimately our collective humanity.
Generative ai is a threat

i think we underestimate how the combination of engagement-bait social media and cheap sensationalist tv (ancient aliens, etc.) has caused a significant swath of the public to see almost everything as a conspiracy and that’s going to need to be tackled if we’re to have any hope of a better world
I live in a world where I am supposed to just accept that this sentence exists
