Black women make up 50% of new HIV diagnoses among women, facing a risk 10x higher than White women—yet their needs are often overlooked.

In over 30 states, people are still being imprisoned simply for their HIV status. It’s time to stand up and speak out against these laws that punish people living with HIV.

Today is #HIVIsNotaCrime Awareness Day.

In more than two dozen U.S. states, people living with HIV can be imprisoned due to their status.

HIV criminalization laws are a form of anti-Black structural homophobia as they disproprotionately impact Black same gender loving men.
