Yeah, it can definitely be hard to find this natural flow of scale patterns
Sometimes reference photos can help though :D ! I love using various photos of reptiles while drawing dragons :3

Haha ikr? Sometimes you can try to fold the wings somehow, but yeah, dragons tend to be really uncooperative when it comes to packing them inside the canvas 😂
