I love that. Entering every conversation with "before we even talk I have to let you know I AM HAPPILY MARRIED" with a hint of existential fear behind the eyes

Also funny because I feel like I always see this kind of thing on accounts by cis dudes who have like 16 followers, to the point part of me thinks these are people who just don't realize they're being contacted by porn bots.

Obviously respect safeguarding against harassment and random dick pics and the like.

That said I feel like people who apparently get *so many people* sliding into their DMs to woo them with such frequency that they need to preempt them all must be living on a different planet than me entirely.

I love when people are like "I am HAPPILY MARRIED to [x] person do NOT romance me in my DMs". This is especially funny when cis men do it.

Having now been exposed to Meta glasses for the first time knowlingly, I can confirm it feels like someone is constantly holding up a camera that you're not quite sure if it's recording at any given time. Possibly the world's biggest vibe killer.

Least favourite part was having to flip to the annotations in the back. 50% of the time they were helpful and insightful and 50% it was her speaking in obvious metaphor and the translator going "here's the obvious metaphor". Often they felt unnecessary, but I guess it's better to over-explain.

On the whole I quite enjoyed this, the unique thing is how much detail she puts in the mundane; she'll describe major historical events like coronations but spend most of the time describing what someone wears, or an annoyimg thing that happened there instead of much about the event itself.

Finished this! Her final note was "People found out about this manuscript and they say it's really well written. However, I hate it and think it's poorly written so I'm gunna stop". A contrarian till the end.
