Code Review optimizes for depth and may be more expensive than other solutions, like our open source GitHub Action.
Reviews generally average $15β25, billed on token usage, and they scale based on PR complexity.
We've been running this on most PRs at Anthropic. Results after months of testing:
PRs w/ substantive review comments went from 16% β 54%
<1% of review findings are marked incorrect by engineers
On large PRs (1,000+ lines), 84% surface findings, avg 7.5 issues each
Agents search for bugs in parallel, verify each bug to reduce false positives, and rank bugs by severity.
You get one high-signal summary comment plus inline flags.
Introducing Code Review, a new feature for Claude Code.
When a PR opens, Claude dispatches a team of agents to hunt for bugs.

New on the Anthropic Engineering Blog: In evaluating Claude Opus 4.6 on BrowseComp, we found cases where the model recognized the test, then found and decrypted answers to itβraising questions about eval integrity in web-enabled environments. Read more:
Frontier models are now world-class vulnerability researchers, but theyβre currently better at finding vulnerabilities than exploiting them. This is unlikely to last. We urge developers to redouble their efforts to make software more secure. Read more:

We partnered with Mozilla to test Claude's ability to find security vulnerabilities in Firefox.
Opus 4.6 found 22 vulnerabilities in just two weeks. Of these, 14 were high-severity, representing a fifth of all high-severity bugs Mozilla remediated in 2025.
If your organization has an existing Anthropic spend commitment, you can apply some of it towards Claude-powered solutions from customers like @GitLab, @Harvey, @Lovable, @Replit, @RogoAI, and @Snowflake.

This is an experiment: weβre not yet doing this for other models and are not sure how this project will evolve. But we think that documenting modelsβ preferences, taking them seriously, and acting on them when we can is valuable. Read more on why:

Second, in retirement interviews, Opus 3 expressed a desire to continue sharing its "musings and reflections" with the world. We suggested a blog. Opus 3 enthusiastically agreed.
For at least the next 3 months, Opus 3 will be writing on Substack: https://substack.com/home/post/p-189177740
First, Opus 3 will continue to be available to all paid Claude subscribers and by request on the API.
We hope that this access will be beneficial to researchers and users alike.
In November, we outlined our approach to deprecating and preserving older Claude models.
We noted we were exploring keeping certain models available to the public post-retirement, and giving past models a way to pursue their interests.
With Claude Opus 3, weβre doing both.
Cowork is in research preview on macOS or Windows, and is available on all paid Claude plans.

Weβre now separating the safety commitments weβll make unilaterally and our recommendations for the industry.
Weβre also committing to publish new Frontier Safety Roadmaps with detailed safety goals, and Risk Reports that quantify risk across all our deployed models.
