Student safety is our top priority. Our office joined Rep. Michlewitz, Eliot K-8 Principal Traci Walker Griffith, BPD, ONS, and state partners for a walkthrough of the N. Washington Bridge to identify opportunities to strengthen safety measures for students traveling to and from school.

I led the passage to accept a $1.5 million grant from the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program to support capital improvements at Christopher Columbus Park & Long Wharf. We must act with urgency to secure these federal resilience funds, which are at risk of being taken back.

Thank you to the MA Senator who voted YES to lower taxes for residents. Senator Mike Rush filed an amendment aimed at providing meaningful property tax relief for Boston homeowners. While the amendment did not ultimately advance, I’m grateful to the Senators who stood up for Boston residents.
