Today I did not go to the studio. I visited an elementary school in the Philly burbs and read to kids aged K-6th grade. This photo was taken by a 2nd grader 🙂

Today at the studio I started the final art for a new picture book. This drawing is one that will be combined with 4 others to make one complete image. 1 down, 199 to go. #kidlitart

Today my “studio” was a recording studio where I had the chance to read TWO audiobooks - Earl and Worm audiobooks will be read by ME!

These are all just tests for an upcoming picture book - but yeah - the idea is that I’ll draw each color of the book separately - like in screenprinting. Updates to come!

Why I wrote this book is because I love reading and the original book Baloney and Friends I loved because how Peanut is so kind to Baloney and that is what I feel like when I'm with my friends. So that is why I want it to write a book. Book. Two coming up Baloney and Friends a Helping Hand. Cool! Wow! Awesome!

I visited two different elementary schools today and had such a blast. Reading with kids and talking about writing, drawing, and making stuff - it’s the best.

Today I visited @bookpeople.bsky.social in Austin, TX and signed some books. An amazing indie book store! Much, much better than Amazon.

Today is Day 2 of my week of Texas school visits! We drew pictures and read lots of books - including a sneak peek at Earl and Worm 🪱 🦉
