I have read Wuthering Heights.

I am diligently working on not spoiling anything.

I am also eating so much popcorn.

There are few things as fun as watching someone read Wuthering Heights for the first time, especially when they get to the juicy parts. Which is, you know, basically every page.

Husband is reading Wuthering Heights for the 1st time. He’s on Ch. 3 & Cathy just made her 1st appearance.

Husband thinks Cathy is alive. He thinks Mr. Heathcliff’s neighborhood is the opposite of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. He’s suspicious of Lockwood’s activities & reliability as a narrator.

just an update from when we talked to the reporter: we’ve now successfully connected over 100 families for direct, peer to peer rent adoption. we’ve collected and immediately distributed…a lot.

it is a drop in the bucket, but all of this is. everyone is just doing what they can.

Been listening to WSKQ’s last hours on air.

This is one of the greatest marketing campaigns, ever. Definitely one of my highlights of the year. It’s the radio of my youth and it’s been delightful.

And as the station goes off air, I deeply respect their commitment to the bit.

2025 was a rough year. We all knew this.

But I just scribbled down 100 good things and successes from 2025 and ended up with over 100, and I didn’t write them all down.

I’m so very grateful.

Saw Ella McCay tonight. It felt both sweetly nostalgic and fresh, a film with elements from other eras talking about our now. I loved how the main storyline seemingly diverted into small stories that illustrate the film’s heart. I left the theater delighted and full of hope, which I deeply needed.

I started with the free version and used that for a few months. I liked it and wanted the extra features, so I now use the paid version.

I moved over earlier this year and I like it a lot. I’ve found it intuitive to use and I think they do a good job facilitating migration.

Husband and I both read broadly and eclectically and always have. But recent years have been rough (of course). Romcoms and horror have been key to our well-being, especially listening to romcom audiobooks together. Shared laughter and HEAs are an incredible coping tool.

Incidentally, Husband is reading ACOTAR now because he spent October falling in love with Abby Jimenez’s work. I told him he couldn’t read Say You’ll Remember Me (up next!) until he read at least the first two ACOTAR books so he’d get a running joke.

And then he got into the second book and he is ALL in. He just finished Chapter 12 and he is completely on board. He is ready for the FMC to get trained and kick major ass.

Husband is reading ACOTAR. I’m having the best time watching him take the emotional journey. He was about to DNF the series in book one when a character used physical coercion on the FMCβ€”he said if she didn’t kill this other character as soon as she had the chance, he was done with the series.

Also, no cutting people out β€” no arguing if Ghost or Turnstyle are metal or not. If the Grammy’s think they’re metal, they can cover Mr. Roger’s β€œIt’s You I Like” or β€œWhat Do You Do with the Mad that You Feel?” or Ernie’s β€œRubber Duckie” or Oscar’s β€œTrash.”

No, wait. β€œTrash” goes to Alice Cooper.
