The most depraved and dangerous criminal is owed a hearing before he is punished, and we are all at risk if he doesn't get it.

The only chron feed I have is the "Following" tab. I'd love a chron option on Discover.
I'd also love the option to follow users but not see their reposts.

Beginnings are hard: Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher An in-depth look at the first 500 words

@tkingfisher.com's "Nettle & Bone" has one of the most effective and archetypal beginnings. Writers will benefit from studying her.

Protag is:

1) alone
2) in motion
3) doing something that reveals character and is central to the plot

It's rare to find a character who feels complete when we meet her. Then she goes on to reveal more of her self to us while also changing/growing. The grit and vulnerability are a gift to this reader.

You are right about that disconnect. The word has definitely grown to be used as an insult.

I agree. Although in this case, not a perjorative but shorthand reference to ecclesiastical purity. The writer, Paul, was saying that he could speak with authority due to his lineage.

The suggestion that American Jews have divided loyalties — that their patriotism and devotion to American values is inherently suspect because of the existence of Israel — is a persistent anti-Semitic trope. It demeans us all.

But criticizing censorship as un-American is fair game.

Tell me the crime. I’m Jewish. I despise pretty much everything Khalil advocates.

But he is a permanent legal resident and has not yet been accused of any crime. So what is the basis for this action?

but just to be clear if the trump administration gave a shit about antisemitism, as opposed to just lusting to oppress palestinians/immigrants, they would not employ so many nazis
