Yesterday the Supreme Court said (having refused to hear from any trans people): "this interpretation would not be disadvantageous to or remove protection from trans people with or without a GRC."

I understood your argument but I was surprised no-one on the podcast mentioned its origins in US black vernacular, which I think contributed to the right trying to take the power out of it.

But when people seek help, they face months, or even years, of waiting. Rhetoric like this is dangerous. It reinforces stigma and stops people getting support. Where's the evidence that mental health is being "overdiagnosed"?

Might I not so politely suggest that Streeting yeets himself into the sun. Yes, diagnosis has improved, and people are becoming more aware of mental health issues. That doesn't mean they are being "overdiagnosed". It is more likely they were previously under-diagnosed.
