No raises this year at work but apparently for spirit week the dean is ordering folks uni-branded Brooks Brothers quarter-zips and I cannot emphasize enough how I would rather blow the back of my skull out with a .357 than wear a branded quarter-zip.
I've had to tell my mom in memory care that it's OKAY that she's put on a little weight at 84 because if she got sick that would help her recover and she still fatshames herself for eating three meals a day.

I'm not a Shoe Expert™ but I do Like Shoes™ and modern Florsheim dress shoes are trash compared to the level of quality they maintained ~40 years ago. I have a pair of vintage Florsheim Imperials from the 80s and they're so, so much better than what the company is producing today. Soooooo...yeah. 😬

One thing they don't tell you about getting older is when you make plans to spend the day with someone you actually want to spend time with as opposed to appointments and obligations and then they cancel and you have to grit your teeth until they crack and say "Oh sure! Totally fine no problem!". 😐😑
