I finished the model I received from my mid winter secret santa.

It was a bit fiddly in parts so it took longer than I thought.

I am really happy with the end result.

I decided to use my day to cook.

I'm really enjoying guitar practice and even as a beginner I can play a tune that sounds like a song 6 weeks in.

My adult son was even singing along quietly under his breath the other day while i played. I didn't let on that I heard him.

Glad it was recognizable.

This is my work plant. I have had this since I started this job over 12 years ago.

It survived lock-in and office moves, but is struggling to hold on since the christmas break. This morning I gave it an iv line before I undertake drastic measures of repotting.

I feel quite attached.

My holidays are nearly over. They have been filled with crafting projects which has been great for the soul.

My lovely man painted the body, but the rest was me. Each piece built and painted by hand.

My lovely man thought I was ready to graduate from a ukelele to an electric guitar this christmas.

The chords are in different places. I'm starting again from scratch it feels like.

Oh well. It's never too late to be a Rockstar.

Plastic model of a v8 engine fully built with only a few spare parts....I followed the instructions (third time lucky) Battery powered model that even works. I don't think that it would work for long without throwing off parts. But i can call this finished.

Omg. After pulling it apart twice and restarting from scratch I can finally say done and it worked.
This was an intense and challenging. You can only test properly once fully built, so there was no way to know if it was correct until it was completed. Those that know engines would find it easier

A plastic model kit like Lego but not. Half built engine.. I have gone back a couple of steps because the piece i was trying to fit didn't.

Sou vide is doing its thing cooking my steak to perfection while I struggle with building an engine. Good indoor kind of day

Me too ...I must have graduated from my my year of self taught ukelele lessons ... I might need proper lessons in 2026

I listened to bad jelly on rnz this morning and I told my loveky man when he woke and he wanted to know why I didn't wake him (very early) so I've found it on Spotify and he is now listening to it while enjoying tglhe beautiful morning.

My sisters and I have all made pavlova this year each at our respective homes around the country. Theley all look pretty good and i know they will all taste fab.

Mine has survived the oven cool down so far. It can stay there until tomorrow.

Christmas cookbook

I need inspiration for my christmas menu so timely! Everyone's coming to mine and my brother who is a chef is on a super yacht asked me what we are cooking plus my mother is gluten free. I'm sure I can find something for everyone and cook up a feast.

Earlier this evening in my suburban back garden there was a Kereru sitting in the tree eating berries.

The Tui were also hanging out somewhere near sharing my space too.

The swoosh of their wings is so majestic.

So glad I planted a few trees.

Phew parcel is on its way. I have had to buy box no 4 to put my parcel in because the xl bag was too small. Now I'm worried about the box in a box rattling around. Maybe I should have also put an address on the box on the box I will be relieved when its at its destination. 😶‍🌫️

I'm waiting for components to arrive so I can finish part 1 of my secret santa gift. Fingers 🤞 for speedy delivery.
