ive thought this a lot but seldom seen it discussed. a song can almost have double meaning or like, twin moods. i think they might be giants is a good example, writing very quirky pop-y songs about constant existential dread. its awesome. music is such a multi-faceted medium

treating the voice like just another instrument is somethign i loooove. an almost like utilitarian approach to singing can yield really cool results. ive not heard of this group before, ill be sure to check them out! your description makes them sound rlly fun

exactly.... i feel more alienated listening to traditional popular songs than anything from AE's catalogue. Their music has always felt distinctly emotional and human to me, the highly artificial sounds makes it more personal. songs on releases like envane or lp5 just totally whisk me away

You can't tell me the labyrinthian sounds of a duo like autechre or the digital chaos of someone like hrvatski isn't emotionally charged. Probably more so than the average lyrical love song. The shallow interpretation of no words no meaning is, sorry, fucking stupid

Its different. With lyrics you can get a much more direct look into the singer/songwriters mind. But music which focuses on instrumentation as the forefront is just as expressive and personal. You just have to work a little harder to understand

I absolutely hate the mindset that a song cannot have a specific meaning or as strong of an emotional connection without lyrics. Do I like lyrical music? Yes! Do I think its better than instrumental music, or vice versa? No. Some emotions cannot be conveyed properly with language alone

TetraPHONG A simple, but versatile nodegroup combining diffuse and specular shading with full support for Cycles and EEVEE. The Cycles version of TetraPhong supports anisotropic highlights for surfaces such as metal, hair or satin, and it also supports full, proper raytracing. While the EEVEE version lacks these features, it does include an optional coat for screenspace raytracing. Its diffuse and specular components will also render perfectly fine in Cycles.

TetraGEN A noisy volume nodegroup that aims to replicate PowerAnimator's flashy particles. Particularly useful for fire, smoke or dust FX. Adjust scale, distortion, frequency and emission accordingly. Renders in EEVEE and Cycles.

TetraSKY A world background nodegroup with the express purpose of filling up the void. Use with an environment texture, or generate a sky with various gradient, cloud and star settings at your disposal. Disable diffuse and glossy rays in world properties to prevent unintentional ambient lighting (Cycles only).
