Back from the ice! ❄️✨
Our group member @alexandrazuhr.bsky.social has safely returned from Antarctica after an intense field campaign. She drilled several firn cores that will be key to dating and interpreting airborne radar data collected with Polar6.
Excited for the science to come!

Nice talk by @Alexandrazuhr.bsky.social at #EGU2025 about the surface mass balance history in East Antarctica. Do we see an increase in surface accumulation rates in the last decades? I think we do. This would at least be one component that buffers against sea level rise

What an incredible experience! I was honored to be part of the Geoshow Unterirdisch yesterday, sharing insights about polar research and fieldwork ❄️ I hope I was able to inspire some of the kids to pursue a future as polar scientists! 😊
