Selfie of the author, wearing blue and purple stripey crochet bobble hat and carrying a navy blue backpack.
Persona eye view of a shingle beach at dusk with their wellies in shot.
A otter clambers on to a rock at the waters edge.
A green tent on the shoreline lit up in the darkness by a headtorch inside the tent so it glows. The sky still has the faintest hints of purple.
Solo camp at Millstone Point. Insulated wellies the footwear of choice!
Chilly night, & dawn a bit subdued, but lovely views of an otter. Years ago, I was involved in the rescue of an otter cub who was rehabilitated, then released on this coast. Wonder if this little soul is one of her descendants?
Thank you! It was very windy so he kept losing his hair!
It's been a while since i posted . Enjoying a reset in Scotland!
I purchased image rights to original artwork for a movie poster of the 1964 film βThe Fall of the Roman Empireβ. Iβve adapted it into a photomontage featuring Trump, Musk, Vance and the rest of the wrecking crew.

Word of the day is βquafftideβ (16th century): the season for drinking. Also a pithy way of declaring that itβs time to relax.
Works for hydropots (water drinkers) just as well.
Anyone in my network climbed Mt Longido (2637m) in #Tanzania ? β°οΈ

Have any of you clever folks got any expertise in searching the National Archives / Lloyds Register? My tiny brain is about to melt!
(I'm trying to find what a ship called Pass of Balmaha was up to in Aug/Sept 1914... π€―)
Thank you!

Epic views from the tallest mountain in Switzerland, from this summer. A climbers mountain, that offers a bigger challenge than Mont Blanc.

From left to right we have Jim Evans, Zach Poulton and Paddy Cave. Jim is holding a wind and temperature metre.
Well done to Jim and Paddy, who have finished their first day on the job as Fell Top Assessors!
Between now and Easter they join the team summiting Helvellyn everyday to provide condition reports, keeping people safe on the fells.
