And some of them aren’t
We tried to take the emphasis off dressing up for world book day - a handful of parents were grateful but the loudest shout came from those who said I was ruining childhoods! Wouldn’t mind but they were also the parents whose kids dressed as Minecraft characters or teletubbies. Classic literature
Well said
Or sometimes they might just feel overwhelmed and need a break and a breather!!! Nothing wrong with that
Awww but look at how happy he/she is!
Love this - sometimes it’s hard to remember the little wins
Education headlines thrive on bad news. Meanwhile, most days in schools are something else entirely: calm, purposeful, and full of small successes that never make the news. #teachers #edusky
As a school we get a lot of mid year transfers of pupils particularly children who have difficulties in previous settings, are LAC or who have been PEX. I want to create a welcome pack that helps build a sense of belonging. Any ideas??? #traumainformed #send #nurture #primary #relational
Thanks both I’ll have a look
We are a nurturing/traumainformed/neurofriendly school.Just wondering what others are using to support PSHE,MH and well-being in primary? We currently use jigsaw but would love to hear what else is out there. #nurture #neurodiversity #traumainformed #send #primary
Mice here too 🥰 I love them x
Anyone got any experience of parents turning on a child for ‘bad behaviour’ there has been one incident that has been totally blown out of proportion I have parents constantly ringing demanding the child is excluded because theirs feels unsafe. We’re an inclusive school-this has shocked me #eduSEND
100% agree!!! Still trying to get minorities of staff at school to understand this despite all the training!!! We come so far in our journey but still had to have a conversation about why we shouldn’t line children up against a wall 🤦🏼♀️
The headteacher handbook was my absolute bible!!!
Wow!! Incredible. Thanks for sharing

Had the pleasure of listening to you today. Loved it, thank you so much! I’m off to explore the fruit salads in my school x
This is great!
Love love love this model of building a trauma informed classroom from the ACTRM model (Carter, 2023).
Empowering for teachers looking to apply trauma informed practice to the whole class.
