Amateurish photo of vinyl and CD edition of Hey Colossus' new Heaven Was Wild album, yellow cover with drawings of lots of more or less wild creatures on it
@heycolossus.bsky.social, @xeaglepissx.bsky.social, and @sumlin.bsky.social:
Yay, look what's arrived without Brexit BS!
Thank you!

Attention! People with ears!
EDWIN R STEVENS is in session for Riley & Coe on 6music tonight. His new album "A Plague Of Gimps" utterly destroys me. I can't believe our stupid label gets to release this incredible music.
Tune in later and if you dig it then the albums here:

Absofuckinglutely. Yr music collection is varied. Why should a record label just release things that are all the same. There IS something in common with everything on WSR. We know it. You should know it by now
A thousand copies. I wish.
Goes without saying butโฆ
Thanks to everyone that made it a great week of release. Humbly appreciated.
Who knows? If customs hadnโt kept the LPs for three weeks we may have troubled the physicals chart ๐
Love to see Hey Colossus creeping up on Elvis Presley (who?) and Mumford & Sons (WHO?!) in the official thingamabob. I have interviewed only one of these acts. Unless you countโฆ

Heaven Was Wild
The many excellent lives of Hey Colossus...
Latest incarnation blasts raw propulsion & ragged heart live & direct from the other side with a swing that'll flatten buildings.
Always a pleasure ๐๐๐๐ค
Every time I listen to Sweet Williams it makes me want to post shit like "Sweet Williams best band ever stop the count send tweet", but I hold that all inside me.

Graham Linehan @Glinner 52m Once at Glastonbury I did a poo that broke the toilet of a camper van that Select magazine had organised. Outside the van, I got into a massive argument about it with my editor where I argued that there was no way of knowing which poo had broken the toilet. As I stormed away, I looked up and saw Mick Jones sitting in his car, looking back at me, laughing his head off.
finally we get the villain origin story.
I forgot who was touting the Hey Colossus record ( @chopstopfives.bsky.social ? ) but it's bloody great.
SETTLE DOWN
One label, one delivery. Two very different sides, both of them class. Wrong Speed Records #nogenres
Mam's had it up to here!
At last the Irked album shuffles into view. I love this band. Continuing excellence from Wrong Speed Records

New video from Edwin R Stevens. There's something in my eye...

The new HC albumโs been on heavy rotation here since its arrival here earlier this week- itโs a doozy so get on it.
Obviously we all preferred Stanton, but at this point itโs probably not unreasonable to wonder whether that particular ship has sailed and think about moving on.
Doozy. Odd word, eh?
Oh god, imagine it. It'd be beautiful. Payback for a Spurs fan walloping my cousin (13) in the face outside WHL in the 90s when Posh lost an FA Cup replay on pens. Revenge is a dish best served patient.
Because of my extraordinarily great taste in music Iโve pre-ordered this, so you probably should too
Plus we have the last few copies of recent releases by BLOODY HEAD, KLING KLANG, HUMAN LEATHER, THE CHOP, HARESS, AAA GRIPPER and the usual assortment of back catalogue gems and label merch. Treat yourself!

Also available is the 15th album by rock pensioners Hey Colossus. We all wish they'd go back to the classic era of (checks review) 2003 but this will do for now. Come on lads, get in the Delorean!

I think this is the best record the label might have done. Every time I listen to it I'm struck by how detailed and unique it is and how incredible it is that our daft label gets trusted with such beautiful things. I'll never take that for granted. Anyway - go get a copy if you haven't already...
Edwin has a way of disarming the listener with absurdities and humour so they're in a place where the heaviness of the song hits hardest.
He sent a video for a song this morning that had me sobbing on the loo at 7am. I feel this was his intention. That video coming later, here's another for now:
Because we (Wrong Speed Records) are disorganised idiots, we've got endless releases to impolitely push your way today.
Mainly it's official release day for "A Plague Of Gimps", the second solo album by EDWIN R STEVENS.
It's a masterpiece. Honestly, it has me in bits. No one does it like this:
Wooooh! The debut album from IRKED is finally scheduled for release!
"The Grievance" comes on coke-bottle green vinyl and a super-limited, Bandcamp-and-gigs-only yellow vinyl too. Plus download, obv.
In shops May 1st but you can bag a copy on pre-order NOW

Such a beautifully emotional fanbase. The Sleaford Mods of football fans.
The best album on the label to date.
FAO @xeaglepissx.bsky.social who I fear might have expired laughing last night
