This morning I wrote to 17 Pride groups to say we’ll proceed with their request for a motion to support the Human Rights Code.
Every MLA who supports the Code should vote to defend it.
We need to stand up for human rights, not give ground to those who would take them away.
👩🚒 Last week, I met with the Vancouver Fire Fighters’ Union & attended a reception hosted by the BC Professional Firefighters Association.
Our government recently expanded coverage by adding 8 cancers to the list of 18 recognized as occupationally caused for firefighters.

Last week, I joined Minister Kelly Greene at the BC Search and Rescue Volunteer Memorial to honour the volunteers who lost their lives while serving.
The memorial is dedicated both to those who died in the line of duty and to the volunteers who continue to serve today.
