I wouldn't trust Republicans on this one (or any one, for that matter). I smell a rat.

I used to work in a NICU and saw some crazy baby names: "Hash" and "Gun" come to mind for a set of twins (this mother eventually lost her parental rights). Lemongelo and Orangelo for another set of twins was memorable.

But by far the worst was "Urethra." No one had the heart to tell mom.....

Don't worry, they will just blame Democrats and 40% of the people will believe them (including a bunch of people on Bluesky).

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

It's a tried and true Republican technique. Accuse someone else for what you are doing. At the very least people will discount the issue thinking "everybody does it."

That's what the whole Hunter Biden/Burisma thing was about. Now corruption is just part of the landscape.

The medium is the message.
Its not a messaging problem as much as it is a media problem.
Republicans for the last 50 years have built an enormously well funded (by the oligarchs) apparatus to spread their message. I'm not sure Dems could have countered that, even if they had seen it happening.
