When are they not. I've only ever been to horse racing once at Plumpton and people were out of their minds at 2PM. Don't get the point of it. I understand why people gamble on it though as it's so boring to watch.
Oh, horse twats?
They are almost never in use when I go there
I just don't think there's the demand for it, again those who actually have these things can charge at home, everyone else sticks with petrol or diesel.
That's the other thing, poor provision where I live
For me it's the only factor, I don't really like driving or cars, I just need a job done as cheaply as possible.
Ok but this does not happen, currently public chargers are at least as expensive as fuel, if not more so, hence next to zero adoption of EVs for people who can't charge at home.
There are chargers in most supermarket car parks now, but not many use them because they are so expensive
I would have to move to a semi detached house somewhere else, costing more money, with a driveway and access to power to even begin to make one of these things viable. In the meantime my 16 year old 7 seater cost ยฃ4,000 when I bought it 6 years ago, spent maybe ยฃ1,800 on it.
Everyone on here is "oh I charge at home so it's really cheap, anyone who doesn't do this is stupid". That is pretty smug in my book.
I have done the "math". I can't charge the thing at home, and public chargers are both a pain to use and more expensive than diesel is. End of math.
What is level 3?
OK, but even if you can get a free charger you can't get a free house with off road parking close enough to power.
Well the US is one thing but there are *millions* of households in the UK where home charging is never going to be possible.
Yes it is, they are ludicrously expensive and you have to have off road parking with access to power to make then viable to run. I think fighting against climate change is a waste of time, we adapt to it, or die.
The point is you have to be in quite a privileged position already to benefit from one of these cars.
I'm not sure what point you think you are making here
I think you overestimate the power I have over anything at all
This is the most Bluesky thing I have ever seen.
If you like. Won't happen though.
Who the fuck are you?
I mean yes if you have tens of thousands, a few more thousand to install a charger and a driveway where you can charge it from I'm sure you're having a great time.
I mean they quite often do do that. I live in a rural area and it's crap. I want to leave as soon as I can.
But the vast majority are LARPers who have come to escape the towns and cities.
I know I live in a rural area. It's fucking awful and I hate it.
Do you think that second sentence has anything to do with the first? Can't believe the smugness of this thread.
Great stuff. Shame about the millions who will never be able to charge at home.
Simply do not live in the arse end of nowhere
Not enough. Worked my arse off and not finished it anyway and now feel crap.
