Not gonna break it to him which shells they are.

But what would a Fiesta hatch with some guitar strings in place of the rear defroster elements sound like?
A mid-70s Chevrolet Monte Carlo in white with red vinyl roof parked beside a newer Lexus RX350, also in white.
History doesn't repeat, but it often rhymes.
Looking out the front window of a TTC subway on the Bloor line, pulling into the statio.
Best seat on the subway.
A child looking out the elevator at the atrium of the Toronto Reference Library
The kid wanted to take a lap of the reference library because he thought the building was cool. Proud dad moment.
A grey Citroen Traction Avant at the north western corner of Queen's Park in Toronto
Not even at the car show yet, but a Traction Avant will be hard to top.

Chloe and Frank, two Dalmatians from the animated kid's show Bluey.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't relate more to Chloe's dad.
A still of Lightning McQueen racing in Cars (2006)

A second generation Saturn SC papercraft - car is in greyscale, and is one of the earlier 2-door models rather than the later 3-door.
I poorly made one out of paper this week, I've been training for this!

Carburetor from a 1985 Honda Rebel 250, remove from its normal position between the airbox and cylinder head, sitting atop the crankcase.
For everything else wrong with the internet, being able to watch strangers fix things and work through steps that aren't in a repair manual is still pretty great.
Years ago, I drove Eric Lindros's Chevy Tahoe to drop it off at his house after a service appointment. I don't follow hockey in the slightest, but he was pleasant in the 10 seconds it took to hand off the keys.
Drove one when it was newish, pleasant enough, but that's not enough at that price.
I spent a summer either driving all day in a car with no A/C for work, or riding a motorcycle with full (vented) gear. The bike and gear was more comfortable.
Personally, that 300ish mile point is adequate for day trips with no charging, because I don't trust the infrastructure yet, and don't relish the thought of entertaining the kid while waiting for enough charge to limp home.
With my normal driving though, PHEV is the perfect balance.
Some of the selling point is "like Twitter with fewer Nazis," and I kind of get how this a bit disorienting if you came in on one of the waves of expats (the Weird Car Twitter feed is a pleasant little island though).
But then, the Linux comparison also occurred to me.
I believe the Twin Spark badges mean it can't be a Q4 (since that used a Fiat engine), but that would be an excellent reason to bring one over.
So that's why I'm so bad at Dad jokes.
My timing's off.
McBride Cycle, a 3-story brick building with a 2-story garage out back. Dealer has branding for Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Triumph, along with a 3-story mural of a rider on a Honda sport bike leaning into a corner.
Also, why is there not a 3-story mural of a motorcycle in the Junction anymore?
Lower rear fender of a 1972 Honda Cub, in red, with a sticker for McBride Cycle - 2797 Dundas St. W, Toronto 9
I have a weakness for old dealer stickers

My biggest difficulty has been adjusting to having ~5ft of car to the left of me rather than the right, and placing it accordingly (especially in parking lots with fewer guidelines).
FlightRadar24 map showing flight activity over eastern Canada and northeastern US as of 9:15PM EST on 6/9/25, and displaying the playback option allowing selection of date and time to show activity.
There is a playback option on desktop, although non-commercial flights often don't show.
The death by a thousand cuts is what's already happening, but that's a position of asking people to accept things getting worse for decades until the alternatives can maybe catch up.
Also, small station wagon with a 5-speed and/or turbo engine good, so PT good.

I GOT A LITTLE EXCITED WITH TODAY'S BLIPSHIFT EMAIL AND PROMPTLY DISAPPOINTED WHEN IT WASN'T REFERRING TO THE ONE TRUE SW.
Interior of a 2025 Mustang with red seats
The Mustang still has it too, but it's just not the same.
Red interior of a 1980's Mustang
Let me know when they bring back an interior this red (both my grandparents had roughly this shade in period, as did a truck I had later).
A silver Nissan Altima parked between a red Triumph TR4 and gold Triumph TR6 in a parking lot in Tucson, Arizona
I would be astounded that in a city of Toronto's physical size, we'd see bike lanes get better than begruding acceptance in four years.
What big bold improvements could show enough city-wide benefit in 4 years?
