Does seem like everybody loves a righteous cause these days...
Inspirational and outspoken anarchist, writer, philosopher, and the author of my favourite quote on the role of teachers...
"La tΓ’che des instituteurs, ces obscurs soldats de la civilisation, est de donner au peuple les moyens intellectuels de se rΓ©volter"
All the little rays of hope,
Always coming back when we needed them most,
I always thought that it was worth something.

That was the theme of the evening, Justin saying how many of his songs were still as relevant (or even more so) now as they were 40 years ago.
Doing it all over again tonight in Bradford π
Ed!!!!
Everything forgotten in holy wars!
Lovesongs!
Lovesongs!
Both of us were born in Lancs so have to keep a low profile when crossing the border ππ΅οΈ
Seeing this lot in Bradford at the weekend so ought to familiarise myself with at least a few of their tunes!
Happy arse-kicking, have a good un! We're off to Rock City on Friday for 'that band' & then see you in Bradford on Sat π
Time to buy a ladder & some heavy duty wire-cutters I reckon
Nice to have an excuse to watch this again! Not my favourite era Polly but this is still π₯
Oh yeah, that was it
They've just started putting them up, not round our way (Rushcliffe) yet but probably won't be long. Interesting that they've decided to hang them this way round, makes me think I've seen flags like this somewhere before...π€
Any chance of a Midlands gig in the near future? (Nottingham has some fantastic smaller venues!!)
Only 35th? Must try harder next year π
Wake me in a thousand years...
And that's enough Bluesky for me today... π«
CDH are just awesome live. Also got to see a very nervous Lou do her first solo gig at a tiny venue in Notts - brutally honest lyrics that brought more than a few of us close to tears
Just got back from an open mic/sing along think for WSO that featured quite a few tributes to Shane. We finished with Fairytale of NY which went down pretty well π€
I would expect nothing less π
Maybe 30 years ago, we're a lot more boring these days (although currently enjoying a wee drop of Dead Man's Fingers π)
π€£ Llawer iawn o ddiolch!
Once upon a time maybe, when we were all young and beautiful π
Still almost feels like yesterday π

Low-life scum, that's what they say about me!
If there were more dates around the country then we would definitely be up for this. Sadly, gigs in London are hard to justify financiallly (unless there was a chance of seeing Regan & Bricheno opening the show - that might be worth a 2nd mortgage π)
