Just finished the final-unless-there-a-major-issue-or-easy-to-fix-issue of Sincerely, Serafina. 😀 And…uh…the rescue chapter got a whole lot more intense. This book will have a bunch of content warnings. But I actually think it’s my favorite book to date.

I saw that we just missed it, but are planning for next year. Is it the same time each year

You know, it’s better to read 5 books at a pace where you have time to reflect on then than to read 100 books at a pace so fast you don’t recall what happened five minutes after you finish.

3/3 that I don’t know how it’s not a household name and resource when it should be. I know a lot of teens who could use the info here, and parents who can safely use it as a trusted source for the things we can get in legal hot water for telling our kids about. I’m sharing and want to volunteer.

2/3 worry about if I could end up in legal hot water for how much I tell my daughter, but also don’t want to beat around the proverbial bush when she told me that she’s not sure what to do about her hormones. I just found your website, and found some links, and honestly, your site is so amazing

A plurality of hours without stepping foot off the ice has me achy today.

I admit only reading parts of these books. I don’t have time to read the ones that are so bad.

Apparently the sex scenes are okay, and it’s nice that she’s not disrespected for her condition, but everything else is eying with what Kris refers to as Murder College due to how often people die. Have you checked out Lightlark? That one is worse.

And I did talk with her about how I was feeling, to show her that frustration happens sometimes. I won’t tell her to do what I won’t do. So…I went back to the Friday night public skate, and it went much better. :D I’m feeling it now, though. Three or four hours today.

I learned long ago to not trust Goodreads. I was on it when a lot of brigading was going on in about 2012/2013, where bad books were being inflated by fans of crap people and books by others were tanked by said-fans.

One of those #figureskating days where my confidence is so low that I’d quit if my daughter wouldn’t ask why. But she would, and I’d have to tell her I’m frustrated and don’t think I can do it, and she’d tell me I wouldn’t let her quit when she felt that way about ballet. So…second session today.

I’ve read a lot of books with high star ratings that I don’t understand, books that are just fine. Okay enough to read, not good enough to remember three minutes later.
