I don't remember all that I did, but I do tend to use different strokes for reflections, compared to the object being reflected.

Autumn Glow

My first one utilizing a black background. Finished this about a month ago. I am really happy with how this turned out. I loved using a black background and ended up doing another one after this one, and will likely do many more. 😀

Nan adored her daughter, Lyra, and she was so happy when we adopted Roman. He was wonderful to her in her old age and I will forever be grateful that she had them both in her life. I miss her terribly, but this pic reminds me of how happy she was in her final days. ❤️

This is one of my favorite memories.

Making progress. I wasn't liking what I had, so I changed it up.

I enjoyed my last black-background painting, and wanted to do another one but was not sure what to paint, so I decided on a blue theme..blue on black...thinking some kind of night scene will be my next painting......that's the hope anyways. 😀

Prepped my next canvas.

Three coats of Gesso sanded between coats with 220 grit, then 340 grit. 2 coats of black, sanded with 340 between coats. Nice, smooth surface now.

A good weekend to stay inside with -40 degrees below zero F wind chills forecast!
