It’s normal but not effective!
This is the solution I’ve chosen!
Because you don’t want to live near the train tracks.
*angsty.

I am subtweeting myself here.
Taylor Swift is an icon for middle aged ladies with no real problems acting like angst teenagers.
I’ve been here for 10 minutes and I already know there’s drama.
My spouse is talking to our cats as if they understand English.
I also once just had a battery go bozo on me and I thought it was over and $140 later I was back up and running.
Honestly sounds like the alternator. Battery plus bizarre electrical problems is the way that presents.
Yes lol.
Anyway, this sort of takes care of itself because spend down doesn’t leave enough cash to maintain an expensive house. Plus most people with substantial assets won’t exhaust them until they’ve spent years in nursing home care. Median LOS is 5 months.
Unless you’re in a high property value state ($1.1M limit), California (no limit), or your spouse lives there (no limit).
$10MM in assets would disqualify you on the income side unless you did some crazy gymnastics to avoid realizing income.
Disabled people who are not low income get Medicare after two years on SSDI, no asset test or income limit.
It depends on your eligibility category. Medicaid expansion has no asset test as part of the ACA. LTC Medicaid has an asset limit but complicated rules for community dwelling spouses and real estate.
My answer is Funeral by Arcade Fire. But ITAOTS and OK Computer are also contenders!
You can walk to tons of south side beaches from the Metra.
I think you just invented the Metra Electric.
Oak Street, North Avenue, 31st Street, Rainbow Beach, Montrose Beach and Loyola Beach all come to mind.
You mean best features.
My kids could bike to school, but it would involve a very circuitous route so they could cross Kedzie with a crossing guard or light. Chicago needs to learn about pedestrian crossing signals.
Actually we probably have 10% of families who bike, especially now that you can get a less expensive e-bike.
Chicago doesn’t have school buses except if it’s provided by an IEP. Not even for elementary school. About half of kids at my kids’ school live more than a mile from school, and people want convenience!
I have a LL Christmas tree ornament. So memeable.
Also, selection bias.
Counterpoint: me.
