The only problem with a backyard Christmas tree is that in 10-15 years, they will become WAY too big to decorate, lol. So, you will have to grow some more every 7-10 years. It's a high-quality problem to have. ;)

Also, we have some growing on a trellis. Those are perfect if you want a row of pole beans. Nice and neat!
(Beans aren't picky. And their tendrils work like magic. They will grab a hold of nearly anything, including nearby sunflowers and tomato plants, lol.)
The likely best option? Grow a variety!

These epic chickens used to be one of the premier farm birds in the USA.
But eventually, popular hybrids plus egg-laying powerhouses like Leghorns & Rhode Island Reds became more popular commercially.
That said, Ancona chickens are still superb and have epic personalities.
