I maintain hope that we'll see the rest of #TheWheelofTime adapted into TV series form. The Prime series' S3 has 97% on Rottentomatoes, & the series has 88% overall! #WOTSkies
Feeling this energy, for sure!

Woohoo!
I will be LIVE in less than two hours to discuss the two hour finale of #StarfleetAcademy! Hope to see you there! #StarTrek #Podcast
I love the multi-level storytelling of #StarfleetAcademy ! Mirroring, contrasting, etc. across Federation, Academy-staff, & cadet levels in many of their episodes, this shuttle-stealing is not only in a rich tradition of Star Trek choices, it compares/contrasts richly with Ake's choice in that ep!

Awwwww yeah!!!
"Riker!"

Lotta truth in that!
...and where we get to see why those choices are hard for our characters, and how they wrestle with them.
What a satisfying season of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy! Tony & I dig into the season 1 finale, chat about the Saturn Awards, and play Tony's interviews with showrunners Noga Landau and Alex Kurtzman. Listen at TrekMovie or wherever you get your podcasts.

...also, I just read through this, which says some good stuff that I agree with:

Aaaah! I really enjoyed the #StarfleetAcademy finale! Lots happened, with layers of parallelism, pulling & tying together threads that ran through the season, reconfigurations of things from earlier into surprising contributions, some non-trivial reasoning, & modeling ideals + teamwork. Nice!!!
I *would* love to see more Riker, especially next to Boimler and Mariner, but I do feel like that might be a little self-indulgent/me-focused as a choice. I expect good writers could rise above that, of course.
Oh noes!! I totally typo'd that first hash tag! Should read #Boimler !
I did a second take on that repost here: bsky.app/profile/edwi...
Epically, with Jonathan Frakes just off camera!

...Take two on this repost to correct a typo and add hashtags...
Heck yeah, more time with characters to get to know them and see them develop deeply!
TNG is definitely my Trek origin.
...end the main and other conflicts?
That would be...impressive...
...and fascinating, too, of course. 🖖
Really enjoying #StarfleetAcademy ! Its mostly really well-crafted multilevel story-telling, w themes, morals, choices, & character development mirror between the cadets, the teachers, & the Federation is fascinating/satisfying to watch, dissect, & reflect on.
Will Ake find an empathetic way...

Star Wars' "let's fill in *all* the spaces in the time section we've already covered" is so lame the way they've mostly done it.
Andor (brilliantly aside), I feel like they'd keep at it until "...a presence I have not felt since..." will properly end with "...yesterday." Ugh.
Go, Academy+more!
Yes! While I'm happy to get great stories showcasing Star Trek's ideals and ethos, I'd love for those to look forward.
That said, comics have told new stories with the same characters like Steve Rogers, Peter Parker, Clark Kent, for forever, so I accept that there's room for both.
Hm...I failed to find a good way to send you an intro message (includes links to some podcast contributions I've done, with context). Is there a channel I've missed? Maybe IG message?
