My thought is that there must be redundancy (back up) for the power - which suggests that was down (due to failure or interference?) prior to the fire. As they hope to be up within 24 hrs there must be an alternative - the substation won’t be fixed in that time.

They must have redundancy - all major infrastructure would have to have. this makes me think something (or someone ?) took out the alternative power supply . Big q’s to answer either way.

I gave in when slide phones were still a thing! Switching brands & painful transfer of contacts etc drove me to stick with one ecosystem (before it was called that!)I hope that is simpler now either direction ! One + for now is the ability to switch it off. I hope Siri is still av into the future.

Also of course as a photographer I’m firmly against the way Machine learning has stolen creatives work.

I have 15 pro so it would work. I’m just not updating with the Bloatware for now, the only benefit I can see is the pretty lights when Siri activates! Not sure if wasting energy for features adequately provided by standard applications is justified.

Well said, but also worth mentioning, it likely originated because of the second major national holiday of Thanksgiving being so close in the US. not used outside N America in my exp. We just say whatever’s most appropriate and don’t bother being offended…no one has time for that, it’s a holiday! 😁

I’m guessing Twitter didn’t quite fit the bill !! But seriously, I’ve seen that some unsavoury characters were booted off quick smart by bluesky moderators , so fingers crossed :)

I always pop down for a wander - vintage shops, food, street art always good! I actually did attended “Street London” a photography conference in 2018 there & did a walk through the area as part of it. I think it’s one of the most well known areas for this :)
