A quick visit to @marumunibremen.bsky.social for sediment sampling at site #ODP 663. Our research at LIAG Hannover aims to understand how the West African Monsoon has evolved over the past 1.3 Myr from a eastern equatorial Atlantic perspective. Project funded by @dfg.de and @ecord.bsky.social !
Forest fires start and evolve due to various factors. Here, my first paper published in 2019, we look for the effect of volcanism and vegetation on fires occurred under three climate scenarios during the Late Pleistocene in Central Mexico. Research done at IGL UNAM. Read it: doi.org/10.22201/cge...
Since 1980, a warming of around 2ยฐC has occurred in lowland Central America. However, a previous 4ยฐC warming since the LGM might have altered the ecosystem. Read more in our post of @egu.eu blog with @egu-ssp.bsky.social. Research done at @tu-braunschweig.de
